It's been very quiet since Sarkisian said he wanted to bring him back to USC nearly 12 days ago.

..but that was only after his own DL coach/recruiting coordinator was implicated in shenanigans at UW.

His family is in Mandeville where his son is a stud WR at Mandeville High.

If he's smart, he sits back, the rotating chairs is going to be starting after the BCS title game.

Could start with Jimbo and then fall like dominoes. Or it starts with Tejas hire.

First big move gets it going.

I believe he will stay in the area this time.

If the rumors are true that Brick wants to move back to the NFL, I could see Ed O coming in for a few years (DL coach at LSU) until his kids head off to college.

He should try to get the Miami job once Golden leaves.

You think he would take being a position coach/recruiting guy at LSU after that good run at USC? I kinda would like to see him join the LSU staff and help with recruiting, especially after Thursday's disappointing events. But I think Orgeron is in a good spot to land a head coaching job once the musical chairs start up with the Texas/Penn State hires.

Not sure if Bobby Hebert could contain himself if Coach O joined the LSU staff

I want nothing to do with him on LSU's staff. The reason he's such a great recruiter is he cheats his butt off & CLM knows this; as does everyone else in college football. Where ever he's been the NCAA's have been all over his butt.

Easy there guy - I'm just surprised it would be an all or nothing scenario

Highly likely, particularly if they go with an offensive guy as the HC.

Ed wants to be a head coach. If he doesn't get a head coaching job he's not just gonna go bust his arse as assistant. He wants to watch his son play high school ball.

Not really that surprising. There's been rumors about him wanting to return to LA for months. Not that far fetched that unless something he really wants pops up that he'd be happier to be closer to his family for a bit.
