What's your opinion on Bear Bows?

I'm not a bow hunter, but I'm thinking about getting into it. I bought my boys a bow for Christmas and I'm thinking about taking up the hobby as well. I know someone that is selling a Bear bow and wanted the OB's thought. TIA!

They can't catch a Mathews.
All BS aside, most bows are pretty much the same these days with the current technology there is on the market. There is nothing wrong with a Bear bow for your boys or for you just taking up the sport. Enjoy it. It can be the most frustrating sport (next to golf), but also the most rewarding once you conquer a kill with a stick and string.

I have one that's about 5-6 years old..it's a smooth bow and fairly quiet.
But im sure there are MUCH better ones out recently. I think it's a good starter bow.

Bear bows are great. I bout a Bear Strike to get into bow hunting. Wanted a bow that wouldn't break the bank and would perform great so that I could test the water.
I highly recommend going that route
ETA: for a starter, probably the best bang for your buck
