Ok here is a small example of the type of spreadsheet I have.

What formula can I use to create a new row for each observation per sample.

In other words, one that would spit out a reshuffled spreadsheet that will look like this.

1 blue 100
1 red 200
1 yellow 20
2 blue 105
2 red 200
2 yellow 20
3 blue 107
3 red 205
3 yellow 20
4 blue 100
4 red 210
4 yellow 20
5 blue 110
5 green 50
5 yellow 20
6 blue 108
etc...
etc...
etc...

Any advice?

I would think you should be able to do what you are looking for with a pivot table. Highlight everything you want included then select insert pivot table. Then you'd just have to play around with it to get it to work right.

This looks promising...

Thanks.

I think you can do that with an index/match formula...
