frick yea

I don't even care if he sucks. At least we would have tried something other than Roberts.

Agreed. It's not like he can be any worse.

They aren't calling him up this year unless we make a trade.

I think I might dance a little jig if I don't see Brian Roberts play a single minute for the rest of the year. Let's all pray Pierre Jackson can come in, catch fire, and relegate Roberts to obscurity.

I see the link in the original post, but the Pelicans are currently the front article on the [link=(RU)]https://www.ridiculousupside.com/[/link] website. Maybe they were before. Pierre is the best player in the D-League.

What's more, a source has confirmed to RidiculousUpside.com that New Orleans sent a scout to an Idaho Stampede game sometime last week to further observe the progress Jackson has made in recent weeks.

Pierre goes for 39pts in an OT win Saturday.
CJ McCollum has also joined his team, working his way back from injury chipped and in 24pts.

Pierre's team, Idaho Stampede, will be playing today at 12pm and then Wednesday at 12. Games to be televised on NBA TV as a NBA D-League showcase.

With his team up just 80-78 with 3 mins left in the 4th. PJ scores 11 of his team's final 13 pts as they win 93-88. He ends the game with 33pts, 8 assists and 5 TOs.

With Ryno possibly being out longer than expected, will the Pelicans call him up?

I read somewhere on this board that a Pelicans scout was heading up to Idaho to track his progress.

Hopefully he was able to watch his last 2 games.

1/3- 40 points
1/4- 39 points

This dude HAS to be called up asap!

Can Rivers or Roberts be assigned? If so, send one of them, preferably Rivers, to Idaho in exchange for Jackson.

Not a chance. They dropped Uncle Lou to clear up that last roster spot for 10-day contracts du jour. PJ will stay in NBADL for the year and grow his game. And there's nothing wrong with that either, Pels still own his rights and the backcourt is crowded so no reason to complicate things further or has PJ sit the bench for 5 months when he could be playing

1) Replacing Roberts with Jackson next year rather than this year would mean close to $500k in cap savings next year.

2) Jackson is bad on defense and at protecting the ball and Monty is still coaching this team. If we call him up it will be to keep Austin Rivers company on the bench.

It's crowded with guys who shouldn't be seeing an NBA court right now, though. I just don't see how he could be any worse than Bricks or Roberts.
