I was just reading a hunting magazine and saw the breed for the first time. I am looking to see if any of y'all have had experiences with them good or bad. Blood trails, hunts hogs, and herds cows seems like my kind of dog! I have border collie s but if I could find a dog that hunts as well as herds I would probably buy one in a heart beat

I have one and tried to make her in to a treeing dog but she doesn't care about it. She would make a good stock dog and I am gonna try her on hogs soon. They are very smart and one owner dogs. I don't know if she has ever let anyone other than family members touch her. They have a very different personality they are very loyal. Mine minds better than my kids. She loves to ride on just about anything.

Is it good with the kids? Cause if not it would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the reply

She is great with kids they could do anything to her and she wouldn't do nothing. Even strange kids she has no problem with but will have nothing to do with adults. They are a little dominate to other dogs but you want that in a dog IMO. As with all dogs its how you raise them.

There is a guy in Mississippi that raises them. He makes blood dogs out of his.
