Sister in law and brother in law will be coming back to the states for a few weeks at the end of June and most of July from Austrailia.

They are wanting for wife and I and the in laws to go somewhere for a trip while they are here.

We had thought about a cruise, but not sure that would be fun with kids. Any suggestions? Up for about anything...wife was even looking at a Beaches resort that has stuff for kids.

Would be 6 adults, 5 year old, 2 year old, and 1.5 year old.

Thanks...

If Disney was still cruising out of Galveston then that would be my suggestion. Still may want to look at Disney Cruise although I'm not sure where the boats will be sailing from at that time.

Tons. The entire area is family-oriented.

a beach vacation would probably be your best bet

I can't really think of anything with a 1.5 and 2 year old that would be fun

Won't it be hotter than a crotch in late June and early July? I'm thinking someplace in the mountains would make more sense that time of year.

I would say a Disney Cruise would be great but the above months means that the cost would be $$$$$ The 2 and 1.5 year old would not be old enough to stay in the clubs either. You would be looking at close to 10k for just 2 adults and 3 kids of those ages. I would expect a total cost would run 4500 for 2 for an inside cabin in July.

So yea thats a nice 20k vacation for that group. Disney Cruise in the summer is not the most economical vacation.

I went on three cruises. two without the kids and one with. my favorite one was WITH the kids.

trust me....it was a fun time. you don't have to plan anything and you can just let them go. they have dances at night and plenty of things for them to do.

It's not exactly original, but a beach vacation is your best bet. Rent a house on 30-A, or if you want a littler closer go to Padre. The sand and waves will keep the kids occupied, and there won't be pressure to keep them entertained. When it's hot as balls in the afternoon, everybody can be inside reading/napping or out at the pool.

Great Wolf Lodge, either Virginia or Dallas area. Indoor waterpark with lodging.

For kids that age, a beach vacation is probably the best idea....
