Didn't realize AR ammo was still hard to find. My local Academy, dicks, Walmart, or bass pro is always stocked up.

AR ammo is very easy to find. .22LR is the tough one

U are right about that. I lucked up on a brick of thunderbolt about a month ago but haven't seen any since then. Also in my younger days that shite was cheaper than BB's now it's crazy high.
Remember the old milk carton packaging on .22 bullets. Hell I remember leaving a box one time while out plinking & didn't turn around to go back & get it bc it was so cheap.

I bought more bullets in various calibers at cabelas today. I don't plan to shoot then anytime soon either.

I think cabelas finally figuered it out but the available ammo thread usually has ammo deals posted hourly/daily.

At least for me, the problem is that I cannot spend my day hitting up websites or waiting for the email from slickguns for 22's or other calibers because I'm working. When I do see it available I buy it in bulk. Unfortunately for me the times I see available aren't often because I'm only looking on weekends when others like me are too. I think there are plenty of other people like myself that have the same issue thus the reason for the prices and the availability. Shoot yesterday I missed at least 2 slickgun alerts for 22's and a couple more for 556/223. I've just stopped looking and am not hoarding. Going to have to wait it out. Got enough for the random Zombies though.

So I/we don't have to worry about buying ammo whenever we want to shoot.
I have far less than a lot of ppl on this board fwiw, but still enough to not worry for the next year or two
