Jimmy's article said that Tony Brown was looking to enroll on January 8th. Supposedly that's when Alabama's early enrollment period starts, and LSU's doesn't start until the 15th.

But Alabama's classes start on the 8th, and LSU's on the 15th... so how does early enrollment work? Can a recruit really get enrolled and get everything settled in that late in the process?

Those are class start dates. Enrollment is earlier meaning those dates mean very little.

If track is practicing already then early track enrollies must be enrolled.

LSU has a way better track program than bama. I highly doubt this kid is going to choose bama over LSU because he'll miss a practice.

I mean, if Tony announced he was enrolling on the 8th, then those dates would mean a lot of good for LSU. But I don't know how the EE process works at all. Seems like you'd have to have squared all the paperwork and shite that goes with enrolling into a university (and boy is there a lot!) beforehand and just have to sign the dotted line or something on the day of for this to work. I know it took little ole me more than a day to get all my undergrad shite squared away, and while I'm sure LSU or whoever would accommodate TB more than me, that's still a lot of shite to get done

This isn't what the questions are about.

all those dates mean for an EE means is that he HAS to be enrolled and attending classes when classes start. That's the hard and fast deadline.

Can enroll earlier, obviously.

The end of the drop/add is another deadline, but moot because it falls after start of classes (dropping classes without a "W" grade).

Worth noting you can enroll on the first day of classes. That's what Kiel did.

yall need to stop reading jimmy smith type shite.

because Brown is running track this year and it is indoor season already, with meets in the next two weeks, he can enroll and start track practice on Jan 1, if not for the all star game.

this coming from a friend who ran track and coached at LSU.

Smith is just looking for shite to write about.

The biggest question is when does LSU's track team start practices? When does Bama's start practices? That will be able to say something. Anybody have ins with the track squad?

Totally agree and for anyone worried about the Jan 18 meet, Bama will also be participating in that meet.

Thank you donRANDOMnumbers... finally someone with common sense. Jimmy is messing with you all. Have you ever watched the news.. They are all about the suspense and bringing some terror which Jimmy is doing quite a great job at so far. Cheers Jimmy!

as RANDOM pointed out, the first meet is in a couple weeks. Jan 18th I think, both Bama and LSU are participating. So I would guess practices have already started.

I don't think those dates necessarily mean what we're construing them to mean. TB could have been referring to "missing 1 practice" being in between his announcement and enrollment. Since you can enroll at either school pretty much now, it doesn't mean anything.

NOLA is crawing with gumps right now - if they know how to use their "e" devices - they will be reading and fapping.

and if any want to try and figure out if those dates are of significance (in picking between the two schools), here's the schedule...
