Danny Kaye was underrated, IMHO.

My 7 year old wants to see it. Will he get anything from it? Didn't know if it was similar to Big Fish in terms of the fantasy/reality bits......of which he loved.

Honestly very adult themed, there are some spots early in the movie where the fantasy stuff is heavy. But it drifts away from that.

No he will not. He might like the skateboarding stuff.

As someone who aspires to one day travel the world...this movie appeals to me. I plan to check it out soon.

This is just an OK movie overall...but it makes you think of possibilities and cool stuff so that it good. The original short story was much better in that he was a henpecked husband and would escape from his wife in his imagination and be the hero. One of my favorite short stories of all time. :)

The movie is nothing like the short story, but it is still very good. Has that Night at the Museum feel to it at times. The helicopter/water scene is hilarious ....

Actually, I'd put it as a top 10 (near or around) or surely knocking on the door of top 10 movie for the year. It ain't bad.

It does make you want to take advantage of the time you have on earth, yeah it's a feel-gooder, but any movie that does as one reviewer here put it

quote:

it makes you think of possibilities and cool stuff so that it good

then I give it 3 thumbs up because it definitely does all that.

My wife loved it.
Critics hated it but user reviews were over 80% across the board.
