Beef Melt for bait

I know people use this for alligators, but I was thinking of using for catfish bush and jug lines. Anyone have any experience using beef melt for catfish?

Think some ppl use it for hoop nets but I'm not sure.

Don't think it's tough enough to stay on the hook. Plus the crabs will devour it

Only ever used it for crawfish.

I always found chicken gizzards left out in the sun for a bit worked best for cats.
