Neither did Tyrus Thomas...
Exactly. Yet, Tyrus had more offensive presence than Mickey does as a freshman. So, I'd say he was more developed than Mickey up to this point (still a lot of bball left).
I think both fresh return, but you really never know.

I do not think JOB3 is for sure gone. I am in no way saying he cannot go play because I believe he may be one of the most underrated players in the nation, but he loves LSU and the troll job he did last year could only be bested by another press conference. I would love him to be the guy to buck the current trend and come back for his senior year graduate and win potentially an SEC title and maybe more!
NBA wise, I think he could be a year 2 starter in the league no doubt. He is a true PF, which like C there really is a shortage. He could play right now in the NBA, for a 6'9 260, to have the footwork he does and the skill set, he will be a force in the league. For two years and even some this year he has commanded double teams and become a pretty good passer out of necessity. In the league he will not be doubled like he is in college. He has everything an NBA scout looks for, and at the combines he will shoot up and be a steal IMO!!!

quote:I'm sorry but the OP says he doesn't get recognition on a post that links him to recognition on the national stage? He's been SEC player and freshman of the week two or three times. Everytime we are on tv the announcers more than give him his props. Johnny Jones constantly gives him praise.
it really is ridiculous how Mickey has gotten zero recognition so far. Hopefully that'll change in the next couple months when we go on our run
Freshman tracker on ESPN Insider has given him high praise since pretty early on, but you don't hear much outside of that source. It'll come. I hope it stays cool for a while so he doesn't get a big head and 1Ndone us
What exactly do you call recognition? Everytime you turn on the tv somebody has to be hyping him? Spare me and him that bs please.

The back court ain't too shabby either with lots of experience which is very important at tourney time.
This team is on the verge of being very good. Just keep working and hit a few more free throws.

Memphis #21
