What's your expectation from Jennings in this game?

In terms of stats:

14/25 140 yards 1 TD

7 rushes 50 yards

In terms of outcome, a 3 point win.

I think he'll play well enough but will disappoint many who are expecting way too much from the freshman based on one great drive.

Either way I think we need to not put too much stock into it.

If he comes out and destroys Iowa, we shouldn't expect complete dominance and heisman trophies next year from him.

If he struggles a little bit, we shouldn't have the sky is falling mentality and start anointing Brandon Harris the next starter.

However, that's exactly what's going to happen.

I think those are reasonable expectations, maybe 1-2 more rushes (I expect a few "happy feet" scrambles when a first or second read isn't there ).

Les certainly won't ask much of him other than not to beat himself by forcing what's not there.

The thing that gets lost among all the statistics and all the measurables is who has heart. That drive against the Hogs doesn't prove it, but it sure is a sign that AJ might be a champion. Champions win when the game is on the line. When a team has a poor record in close games it's a sign that they don't have enough guys with championship mettle.

What do I hope to see from AJ? I hope to see a killer...like I saw against Arkansas.

Don't disagree with any of this. Jenning's drive was the highlight of my season because it showed me what this team is made of. And I have to credit the fans in TS that day who finally decided to get behind the team 100%.

I think he will crack 200 yards passing, and account for 2 touchdowns.

From an outsider's perspective, 17/27 for 205 yards 2 TDs and 1 INT, 6 carries for 41 yards and a TD

The 1 incompletion is a drop

The Heisman commitee strips Winston of that Heisman and gives it to Jennings as well as his own personal Heisman. So hes a third of the way to #6Heismans

i hope he puts up enough points to win.
Freshman with very little game experience doubtful he will be able to read defense well. suspect he will need to rely on raw talent and instincts. which may not be all bad.

This and the game plan will limit his role and ask him to move the sticks above all else.
