Kanye had a new album??? Just don't criticize it or he'll accuse you of not liking black people.

I do like how we're pretending My Bloody Valentine's album was great, just because we're all so happy they finally made a follow up to Loveless. It's a good album, but wildly overrated. But, hey, I'm happy for the follow up, too. A new MBV album is better than none at all.

Meh list IMO.

Local Natives nowhere in top 50.

HAIM, Chvrches, phosphorescent should be higher

Vampire weekend was great, but to me not the No. 1 Album.

That's because the new album, IMHO, doesn't hold a candle to their debut. It was the exact opposite of what I had hoped for. No energy at all in the new album. It's just kind of a downer.

That was my first thought after just a couple listens. If you give it some time and take it for what it is without comparing the different styles on the two albums, it really grows on you. Also seeing the energy they bring in their live shows really made a difference too

Yea that list fricking blows. I listened to that Vampire Weekend album like twice and never had any interest in listening to it again.

Although actually that is pretty much what happens to every new indie album I listen to lately. Not much lasting appeal in the stuff coming out these days

That Disclosure album is my jam though

You summed it up in your last sentence. I was hoping that they would capture their live energy in this album but it just didn't happen. They need a better producer.
