I would like to see all of the honest people on here. Imagine you are in college, broke as a joke. Your idea of taking a girl on a joke is walking to the dining hall. You can't even drive because your broke down car is on E.

But a booster offers you say 5000. As a college student you have never seen that much money. Would you honestly deny it? I will be honest i would take the money in a heartbeat. Im not breaking any laws that could put me in jail... but what are your thoughts?

It happens everywhere right now

Just not all of them are stupid enough to flaunt gold chains and new cars. They actually keep it low key.

I would resist the temptation but it would be very tough to turn down 5K in cash.

19 or 20 yo me would almost definitely take it and not tell a soul about it.

Hell I'd probably still take it.

If I'm really good, and I know I'm going to the NFL, or even have a chance of going to the NFL, there is no way I'm risking doing anything that could affect my future career.

If that's his only income he doesn't have to disclose it to anyone I don't believe.

if I came from family money, like JFF, i would turn it down. Dont need it and I dont want to jeopardize my college career/teammates careers/school.

If I had a standard middle class upbringing(which is what I had growing up) i would take it only if I had absolute confidence that I would not get caught. So it all depends on the circumstances behind the deal. Being accused of that would be embarrasing and hurt my image on campus/back home.

If I came from poverty you better believe I would accept the money.

it seems like all these big time college athletes are already more richer than i ever have been.

dudes driving brand new cars/trucks out of high school wearing all these nice clothes and got all their beats headphones and ipads..

it depends what is being offered as to what i would accept. i honestly would NOT accept actual cash. a free dinner or something like that.. yes.. but no i would not jeopardize myself or my team. i am more of a giver than taker any ways.

Yeah you noticed that too

When I was in school I worked part time and was regularly broke with second hand stuff. Athletes always had nice stuff.

And you know what? That's how it should be when you produce something of value. You get compensated for it. Unless you live in the totalitarianism that is the NCAA

somewhat my thoughts as well.. he did say big time athlete. if i am high profile i am especially not going to risk this.

people can believe what they want, but there are athletes who follow the rules and keep a level head. just because you don't feel that way or can't see it doesn't mean someone else would turn it down.

also as a young 19 year old i would especially be paranoid to even consider taking money from a booster or some random.. that alone would make me incline to say no.
