5 guys entered this weekend in a $45,000+ survivor pool.

One guy won with Carolina, one guy has Detroit tonight, and the three remaining had Philadelphia.

Ouch.

I bet the final two will split if Detroit wins tonight.

If you had Detroit, would you be placing a hedge somewhere on Baltimore?

Yeah, for that much money I'd take the day off, fly to Vegas, and put $10k on Baltimore.

Edit: shite, Baltimore gets 6 points. So I'd just bet the spread. Detroit blows them out, then great I get half of $45k minus my bet. Baltimore wins, at least I get my $10k for that..... But if Baltimore covers the 6 AND Detroit wins - $$.

Edit 2: I didn't think about the fact that if Detroit wins, it goes on to next week. So half of the $45k is not guaranteed. So forget all of the above.

If I had Detroit tonight, I would be floating something like the guy remaining gets $30,000 and I would take $15,000 and see if he took it or what it would take...

What was the entry fee?

$50, but you could rebuy if you chose to up until the start of the W4 games for $50 + $50 X (Week Rebought.

So if you lost in W3 and wanted back in, you ponied up $200 more.

..and a shitload rebought.

I'd take the $23K if I was in the Final 2.

..and after watching Philly, Denver, NE, NO all lose, either will not be brave enough to say no to a split.

Both rebought after losing with Pittsburgh and Cleveland in W1.

If you made it that far. If I had Detroit tonight, I would be trying to work out a deal with the remaining person. If he only had $50 into it, I would even go like $35K/$10K split. The guy who has won already has to be loving life today.

I think that would be my strategy. Use the shittiest projected team for the year in W1, pony up $50 more and then use another shitty team. By week 3, start playing for real.

Do we know if this is an option? Who organized the pool?

If all remaining teams agree to split it, the pool stops and splits between the remaining entrants.

Where does the money go if they both lost simultaneously ? Just curious, never done a big survivor like that

The surviving players entering that week split it.

Wow. I hope that guy hedged.

Baltimore made a 61 yard FG with :38 seconds left to cost him the win.

The other guy made bank.
