A little off topic but I noticed that EJ beat Karr to win a title.
How can Karr have some many major D-1 studs and lose to EJ who doesn't have any?
Or maybe they do and I'm not aware of it....

EJ has alot of team speed and they just wanted it more and were the better team that day.
They have alot of under the radar guys and not prototypical size.
Ronald Green, Eugene Wells, Jamal Veazey, Jerome Smith and Edgar Jackson are all studs. They proved it on the big stage.
Ronald Green is a crazy athlete though. I think he might get a late season bump as far as recruiting goes. He will definitely be a steal for someone.

Yeah all those guys you mentioned are great High School players just don't have the size/measurements that fit the high profile recruits. If Jackson was two inches taller and ten pounds heavier, Wells was a bit taller, etc. They'd be on the radar for sure.

I have wondered the same thing. I'm from Metairie, live in Monroe, and listened to the Neville game (pulled for EJ post Hootie decision lol).
Thought the same thing though, especially now, after beating Karr.
Oh, and when I was a kid in Metairie (think 1970 something), EJ sucked out loud. Now, check'em out. Won state. Pretty cool.

Thanks...I was curious, don't really follow HS football other than what I catch in the paper or this board as it gets closer to signing day.
When I arrived home Saturday night , had the news on late and in my drunken stupor pondered how this could be. considering that LSU if lucky enough, we were gonna sign a couple of Karr 5 star prospects. I was perplexed
