Asking, because I was thinking about Final Fantasy 7 the other day and realized that I never finished the game years ago. I put in so many hours playing and accomplishing things in that game (golden chocobo, beating both emerald and ruby weapons) and I never completed the game. I parked my characters at some save point when i reached the northern cave and never went back and play. It was kinda like I just didnt want to finish it so I never went kill Sephiroth (final boss).

I know thats weird but have any of you ever experienced something like that.

Same with ff7(siting at the north crater ), tho I beat it a long time ago at least. Took me over 500 hours before I finally decided to beat the main quest in Skryim as well. A few other games I'm right at the end as well. Didn't get that way till recently tho.

wow seems like a popular thing with the FF series. I invested so much time in it that I hated to see it end.

Skyrim. I would do everything possible, and never touch the main quest.

I get like this with Zelda games.

Currently in the castle to fight the final boss in both Ocarnia of Time and Link Between Worlds on DS and have been for about a week.

Finished Ocarnia of Time back in the day but had to finish the final boss in Majora's Mask when I brought the N64 to college and never finished the final boss in Twilight Princess.

I do this with every GTA open world style game.
I run around doing so much other crap, I forget where I'm even at in the story and before you know it, the game is on the shelf.

I'm starting to fall into this category with Assassin's Creed 4, sadly.

I do this alot, TES games and AC games. I do all the side stuff but do about 75% of the main quest because I know if I beat the main quest line I wouldn't play it anymore.

I usually do 50% of the main mission and meanwhile get burnt out on side quests.

That's happened a lot with me playing Final Fantasy games. Not sure why. I have IV, IX and XIII sitting there collecting dust at endgame right now. I've beaten IX before though. I did it for VIII when I was younger and X after it came out, but those I did go back to finish.
