Good to hear. The trailers look good.
I liked the first hour of UA but then in devolved into a cartoon.
The EE was worse than the theatrical release. It was filled with additional cartoony elements that were so dumb it negated my interest in the trailers for Smaug.

Definitely more like the 3 Lord Of The Rings movies. You can tell a movie is good when you've been sitting in your seat for 3 hours, and don't want it to end.

In terms of spoilers, I know the story, I just don't want to know what has been left out for the 3rd one.
Gonna take a day off next week to catch a daytime showing.
