I want to get the most back I can. Wondering if someone had a good experience with a private tax person.

Find a CPA- you want it done correctly- If someone is promising you a max refund you need to be cautious- they get arrested on a regular basis

A good CPA will help you not only get the most back that you can, but help plan for decisions that will affect future years.

Poodle is the resident expert here, surely he can help you out or point you to someone who can meet your specific needs if he's too busy.

It's not complicated... It's just that I pay a lot in taxes and I would like to get some of it back. I have used turbo tax for the past 7 years. I just wanted to see if a person that does it out of their home could do any better.

You have to determine if the several hundred dollars you pay a CPA will be worth it. Can be up to 500$ depending on complication

I know a lot of people who go through McFearin Business services on Bricksome off of Sherwood and say great things about them, I'm going to use them this year.

My wife and I had someone prepare ours last year, and I nearly choked when I saw how much we owed. He failed to take a small thing into account and thank goodness I caught his mistake, or we would have paid several thousand more than we really owed. Needless to say, I don't think we will be going back to him this year.

If you have used turbo tax correctly and your tax situation is not complicated you most likely are not going to get more money.

Depending on your income(i.e you have a way more money than you spend) A CPA will guide you into investments that may shelter some taxes

IF above is not the case then your problem is you have not accepted the reality that our President is in the process of redistribution-you like many of us have the "great privilege" of being the donors for those who are the takers

If you've been doing something shady, you need a tax attorney, so he can't be compelled to testify against you.
