It still pisses me the frick off how Les was able to swindle LSU out of a raise, despite a mediocre several seasons outside of 2011.

Miles is a decent coach. He's not great but we could do a lot worse. I don't think LSU has a choice but to give him a raise if he asks for it. If he did leave our elite recruiting class would likely crumble and we would be scrambling to find a replacement. Unless they could guarantee a homerun hire like a Jimbo Fisher...they can't let him walk. It's too risky.

Yes and whereas fans may think he doesn't deserve it I think the Sumlin contract is what is driving this. He was making what Saban was to finish third or worse in the sec west. He doesn't have a conf championship much less a national title yet he was making the same or more than Saban, Miles or Malzahn. These coaches are going to use this prestigious opening to get paid and likely have no interest in taking on this challenge.
