He is 174 yards away from breaking single season all purpose record. What are the odds if he is 100% healthy

I think they're good. He's very capable of getting that against Iowa.

I hope he does it.

Considering he usually runs the ball out of the end zone even if it's 8 yards deep...pretty good.

He's had a great year though.

Do bowl games count toward single season records? I always thought they were meant for regular season.

I'm gonna say he doesn't. If Mett was playing, I'd probably predict he'd break the record. But with Jennings under center, I don't think we're going to pass as much as we normally do.

Yeah, but assuming he's healthy, he's going to get at least:
- 2-3 kick returns (one automatically, and Iowa will probably get at least 2 scores), which, conservatively, are worth about 30 yards with the potential for more -- Let's say call it 75 KR yards
- A handful of punt returns (probably 3+), conservatively, 5 yards a piece, with the potential of busting one -- Around 15+ PR yards
- Maybe one jet sweep worth around 10 yards

So, a conservative estimate of the above would put him in the neighborhood of 100 AP yards. So I'd say he is probably gonna need at least 70 yards receiving, which is very doable no matter who the QB is. If by the 4th quarter he's really close, I think the staff might call a play or two specifically for him

He will sit for the bowl game and not risk injury.

I hope he has a great game and scores many times while running for many yards.

Considering he plays WR/KR/PR and jet sweep/reverse RB, and it's a bowl game, I'm pretty sure he make it. Iowa is slow and Beckham consistently gets open on SEC defenses.

He'll get at least four KRs (averages 26.8 a return), two PRs (averages 9.4 a return), and that would put him at 126 yards. He'll need about 48 yards of receiving, and he'll get almost double that.

Who holds the current record? Barry Sanders?

OP needs to clarify that he is 174 yards shy of SEC record not NCAA record. Barry Sanders holds that with 3,250 yards...

Randall Cobb holds the current SEC record with 2,396
