In an odd way I end this day with more respect for Mack Brown

He didn't make it easy and he shouldn't have. Texas was a decrepit backwater when he took that job and if they have more money than the Vatican today, well much of that is because of Mack Brown.
Here's to you, you old bastard. At least you never dyed your hair and bleached your teeth like that utter prostitute in Tuscaloosa. Saban is a spray-on tan away from being the living embodiment of douche on Earth, anyway.

I was pissed at him earlier but really I don't know if Mack torpedoed the deal or if Saban rejected.

Poor Mack is kind of getting lost in the shuffle.
Of course Saban made out like a bandit...he had all the leverage.
Mack Brown taking his chicken shite and turning it into chicken a la king is a much more impressive piece of negotiating.
