Silver Linings Playbook.... (Spoilers)

Well let me preface by saying that I've got a brother that's full blown Bi-Polar and has been for years.
I thought the whole first half of the movie was great and spot on. Acting was excellent. The way they showed how a Manic state a person will go from wild personality changes and seeming rational one minute then go totally irrational the next is just what happens in my experience.
But the second half went totally flat. He stopped being manic and the whole thing became nothing but a typical Hollywood boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back.
I know the explanation is he started taking his meds. But it still rang hollow. Even when on their meds they're prone to going over the deep end at anytime.
And anyone that thinks those two mentals are going to meet up and six weeks later it's happily ever after needs his head examined.

I dont think this is true. I am bipolar and have never had an issue in the 3+ years I have been on my medication

Well good for you. Been I've been going to BiPolar support group for years and it's a constant struggle for many of them to maintain their meds right.

So are you bi-polar or is your brother bi-polar?

I saw the movie when it came out and honestly don't remember much about it, but the main thing I DO remember is JL backing that fat arse up in those beige pants in the dance practice room.
And also her running in black yoga pants.
I might need to watch that movie again.

Maybe you are. I go to the support group with him.
That's why it's called a support group. They don't check your "I'm BiPolar" card at the door before they let you in.
They encourage family members to go for.. wait for it ....wait for it...wait for it.....You guessed it --Support!

Jesus, dude. Maybe you should take some of your brother's pills, you hypersensitive count. Was a legit question. Go cry about failing at being a lawyer.

Not the way you put it. You were being a smart arse about it thought you "had me" and called me out.
The fact that you called me a hyper sensitive count shows how mad you are I threw it right back in your face and embarrassed you.
I'm out.
Oh and P.S. Let's make a bet OK?
Show me where I ever said I was a failing lawyer...I'm betting you can't. I'm pretty sure I said just the opposite but we won't worry about that just yet.
So let's say loser leaves the board for a year.
I'm thinking we're about to discover you're all talk and no action.

Sounds bipolar.

quote:No it wasn't. He didn't put it in a more respectful tone like. Hey man what do you mean you've been? I'm a little confused. Are you BiP or is your brother? Instead he used an accusative tone ( for the internet) -- So are you BiP or is it your brother?
Yeah, it was.
If I missed the nuance on the internet I 'll apologize cause it's pretty easy to do. But I'm betting you think I missed the nuances of "hyper sensitive count " too.

How can you tell his tone or meaning from that?
