Do you think Jimbo Fisher would be a great hire for UT?

Fisher seems to be pretty settled in Tallahassee. He just signed a contract extension for $4.1 million a year, and the community support for his son's blood disorder has been strong.

Anything could happen, but I'd be surprised to see him jump to Texas right now.

No way he leaves FSU coming off a trip to the NC, and especially not if he wins.

Last year when auburn was going after him it got around that the only job he'd leave fsu for is bama. Now granted I don't know if he'd considered Texas at that time but seems a pretty definitive statement.

Jimbo before Jameis was nothing short of unspectacular even in the weak arse ACC.

I hope Tally keeps him.

I've seen you say that a couple of times, but that doesn't jive with anything I've heard. Especially since he listened to Auburn.

I understand how the source thing works around here so if I say I know that first hand I doubt it offers any more credence. But while auburn was earning him a pay raise at fsu I knew it was a fools errand. Needless to say jimbo isn't our coach.

FSU and Texas are arguably the #1 and #2 jobs in the country, with maybe USC being in there too.

Fisher has recruited well at FSU but other than this season he has pretty much done less with more with all that talent.

He has proven himself to be a very good coach. It would be better for LSU that he stays right where he is at. My logic is two fold. First, he has his boot on the Gator's throat right now thus makes the annual UF game much easier for LSU. Secondly, if he was at Texas he would be able to cut into our recruiting in Texas and possibly in Louisiana as well.

Lets hope Jimbo stays right where he is at for a long time.
