A lot of people are saying Saban is moving to Texas. Other people are saying Saban is staying at Bama.

I don't see anyone trying to figure out who Texas will go after IF Saban stays at Bama.

The fact that Texas isn't pursuing anyone else speaks volumes.

This board doesn't deal in hypotheticals. That's why we aren't discussing this

My guess is Charlie Strong if Saban doesn't go. He's proven himself to be a very good coach and rebuilt a down Louisville squad.

I've heard Charlie Strong, Jim Mora, Jimbo Fisher.

I still think this is a case of Texas wanting him and assuming that since they want him they'll get him, regardless of any other factors. Their arrogance knows no limits.

A friend mine said it best and I agree. Do we know if Saban is going to Texas? Not yet. Bu you can bet on one thing. When and if Mack makes official that he is stepping down, then you will know that Texas has their guy. A program like Texas doesn't go on a coaching search.

You got that right. That's why I think Saban to Texas is a done deal. Texas isn't even pursuing anyone else.

Your soul for starting a stupid thread about this. Just shut up, relax and let's see what happens and then discuss it.

Bill O'Brian - Penn St.

Charlie Strong a bit too black for Texass. Briles is a bit too Baylor for Texass.

This is how those arrogant CSuckers think when it comes to head coaching in Austin.

IMO, if Saban doesn't go to Texas then Mack Brown remains the coach for now. The guy righted the ship after firing one of his coaches and was a win away from a Big 12 Championship and a BCS bowl. I think the only reason he steps down or gets forced out immediately is if better coach comes in, which there are very few. I think Mack Brown is willing to step down if Saban comes because he knows that is best for the program and he can still help run things from behind the curtains with the big wigs.

The reason he has not stepped down yet is not because he "wants to tell his players in his own way" but because it hinges on Texas working out the money with Saban.

So it's a fact they aren't pursuing anyone else?
