With Mack on his way out would we look to snag any current Texas commit. I'm thinking DL or OL.

There is a reason they are firing Mack. Recruiting has been going downhill. No elite talent committed thusfar LINK

wow...hadn't actually seen their commit list until now...it's probably safe to say Saban would pretty much clean the slate with that list and bring over as many as he could from Bama.

Most of the elite Texas talent is already committed to us or A&M

hopefully we can hold on to our Texas guys after Saban renews the push

Toshirio Davis!!!

I kid, I kid

A&M is killing them really, and LSU isn't helping (not saying picking up leftovers).

My first thought, before looking at their list, was "surely they have some OL we should target"... nope. I had pointed out on another thread a while back that UT and MI were with LSU being "big brand" schools that hadn't had a first rd OL pick in a while. So I guess there's part of UT's problem.

They have 1 DL, Henderson out of Longview, that is definitely worth a look. That I-59 corridor puts out some good players. And that is a position of need.

Other than that, everywhere they seem to have a good kid LSU already has 2 or 3 just as good or better on the hook. S maybe being the exception, but that's being worked on.

I know Otaro Alaka has said he would be interested in LSU if Mack left. Problem is, Kenny Young will be the next LBer we go after and I would then rather Dwight Williams to help with the Serra recruits in Cali

Now, I wouldn't mind 2015 o-lineman Maea Teuhema

If anything, Texas getting Saban will only help them.

I agree Saban would help them but that dust hasn't settled yet. However we do know with more certainty Mack is on his way out.
