Our only hope is that he leaves for the NFL after our bowl game and at the end of NFL season. That's what some people who are supposedly connected have been saying for months anyway.

Can we give the city of Atlanta to Saban to be our DC?

I really hope he goes back to the NFL. Keep the 3-4 though, since that's what our players have been recruited to play.

Seriously, we'll pay ANYONE to take him. Consider his next contract our treat.

We'll throw in Scott Lakatos to sweeten the deal.

I'm sure UAB will interview him for the Head coaching job once their current one wises up and leaves.

They took Neil Callaway off our hands so I can see it.

PLEASE UAB, WE'LL EVEN FINANCE ADDITIONS TO LEGION FIELD! We'll even give you a life supply of hot pockets to satiate Todd's hunger. It's like Popeye and Spinach except instead of getting stronger he gets angrier.

UAB should jump on this opportunity now. It's rare you get a chance to hire someone with Grantham's pedigree.

It's Grantham and his Wile E. Coyote defensive scheme.

General consensus is that the players are young and inexperienced, but that Grantham did nothing to really help ease the transition. Our playbook is longer than at least some NFL playbooks, as noted by our more recent NFL defensive players.

Oh, it's Todd. But you all will have loads of fun watching your defense run around like chickens with their heads cut off pre snap.

Adds an exciting element that UAB needs.

Should we change the title of this thread to generate more interest? Something like "Bama reaches out to Todd Grantham to gauge interest in case of Saban departure"

Could help us create some leverage. Also would be more in keeping with the other threads on the CC board

He would be taking a significant pay cut to go be a position coach in the NFL
