Is Alshon on AJ Green's level?

I realize that Alshon was never largely discussed in the same class as Julio and Green in college despite some highlight reel catches through his years here at SC, but I feel like the season he's having this year after being injured for most of last season has shown he has the same kind of skills as Green and Julio.
what say the MSB?

clearly you weren't in the MSB gamethread, I was there all night brah
back to the topic, Alshon currently has more yards than Green with a couple of less receptions and 2 less TDs while having to share receptions with Brandon Marshall
how is Alshon that far off from Green?

Not even the best receiver on the Bears. So, no.

Well for starters, Ds tend to focus on Marshall while Alshon gets single coverage. AJ doesn't get that benefit.

He was in college but Green has an extra year on him in the NFL. AJ Green is fricking good though and he's their main weapon. Alshon sin't that far behind, certainly not as much as people on here like to say.

It's closer than people probably think.

Alshon is retarded good. He and Gordon are making me look like a lock for the Fantasy title

Teams don't gameplan to stop Alshon Jeffrey. They scheme to stop Brand frickin' Marshall, and Alshon reaps the benefits of being an afterthough

people weren't even willing to give him the credit in college despite Green never having a real break out year due to less receptions and the ebay scandal
I realize he's been impressing in the league for a while longer than Alshon, not to mention Jeffery was hurt a lot last year, but I think their talent levels are very similar. Green makes some more athletic catches but Alshon has a knack for big plays as well.
most people in this thread keep acting like it's not even close when they are pretty damn similar, don't know why Jeffery gets so much hate

He's seen plenty of double coverage. Cowboys are playing zone anyway

If people single covered AJ Green, he'd surpass 2,000 yards. Alshon Jeffery is a beast, doe

Was amazing, I'll never forget his 1 handed grab against Bama in '10.

I'll admit Alshon is good, but could you imagine AJ's numbers if he had Brandon Marshall drawing all of the double teams?
