There are a lot of famous writers from Iowa. Kurt V. was one. I've never heard that he said that about the ladies. Iowa was settled pretty much from east to west. There are a lot of Irish and Germans in Iowa. Larger cities are integrated. There are little towns that are predominantly one or the other. Lots of Chechs in Cedar Rapids. I suppose up north near Minn. there are the scandanavians. For a more detailed look at Iowa see this little video . it pretty much says it all

All this talk from Iowa fans almost makes me forget about those two national championships we have in the last 10 years. Yall caught us in between those two NCs in 2005. But you would have thought that yall beat the Saints. Believe me, it's just not gonna happen for yall in Tampa. You may depend on it.

You should say "yall" more.

Our victory...in which we led the whole game until the last minute, came the year after your National Championship. I'm guessing you didn't lose 22 starters from the NC year. We beat you fair and square, so don't make excuses.

This is going to be a repeat of the cap1 bowl. Tiger fans are going to be crying on their long drive back to LA.

Wish I could make the game in person. Personally I am glad we are playing a good team like LSU. We definitely are in a better bowl than we deserve.

May be a little off subject but why is Stephen RIvers never spoken of as a potential competitor to start? Did I miss some articles or analysis as to his capabilities?

Hawk eye Dave?.....no, we did not lose 22 players from the 2003 team but we did lose our head coach 72 hrs before we played Iowa but hey, I am sure that had no affect on the Tigahs. I am sure the Hawks would not miss a beat if Coach Ferentz left in the middle of the week. Just say in'. Look forward to a great game!

Because Jennings played so well vs. Ark. and rallied the team to victory, most would believe he deserves the chance to start.

Also, even going into the season, Jennings had passed Rivers on the depth chart, as he was #2 behind Mett.

But Rivers will be given the opportunity to compete for the starting QB job beginning with spring practices and also including fall workouts.
