Preseason polls vs eventual MNC matchup

When was the last time a preseason unranked team made it to the MNC? Is this the lowest preseason ranked matchup ever?

I want to say Auburn started out very low in 2010, as well. I cannot remember if they were unranked, but if they were ranked, it was in the 24-25 range at the start of the season.
Auburn always does good when nobody expects it...crazy, really.

Preseason
#1 Nebraska faced unranked Miami for the National Title in 1983.
Nebraska went wire-to-wire as #1 until they lost the Orange Bowl to preseason unranked Miami.
Miami is the biggest unranked surprised National Champ in history for their 1st title. Before Miami became Miami they were a joke school in South Florida.
