Good players, but 5'8, 200lbers won't cut it.
Tell you what, #42 for Neville was their best DB, not #7. Kid was tough as nails, 7 was soft as Charmin.

Considering they stacked the box with all 11 at times, I think they had plenty of help.

I'm not saying this because he's going to gump land, but I've seen hootie play 3 times and he has looked soft to me as well. For as big and talented as he is, I would expect him to be much more physical

EJ players are too small, very fast but not big enough to play in the SEC

Hootie really didnt impress me last night either. I was waiting for him to make a big play and it didnt happen. He does look the part though, big and fast....but he just wasnt a game changer at all last night.

EJ alum here. Proud of the team. Hoodie wasn't a factor last night. Guess the gump sports agents told him to sell out his team to avoid injury. Wonder how his team mates feel about that?

Agreed 42 was best defensive player clearly. Unblockable and solid tackler, lot of heart too

Hootie wasn't involved to be fair. He was out wide covering the WR and they ran the ball all but one time in the game. He did move to middle of field in 2nd half but a non factor

18 for EJ is a pretty damn good High School linebacker.

Agreed he was very impressive. EJ QB is a heck of an athlete too, blazing speed and very shifty

PS I was pulling for EJ. Couple things at the end:

1. The spike on the second to last play was very awkward, I thought the refs were playiing it as a fumble because no whistles blew for a long time...

2. The left the kicker with a terrible angle, should have gotten to center of field.

3. Watching it live, I thought he shanked the kick barely curled inside.

I was wondering this too but I soon realized that EJ busted several runs into the secondary and 7 was not around the ball then either. One exception was when the EJ RB ran straight over him for 5 more yds.

Yea definitely wasnt ball hawking, thats for sure. When in middle, he had deep responsibility I think because he stayed put. I think he was staying home and following his assignment, but yes he certainly wasnt aggressive to the ball at all.

How did Derrick Raymond's little brother, Deshawn look? He's number 7 on their team and has a few D1 offers, Mississippi State is on him hard
