Spain may not make it out of the group. La Selección has prepared the last three championships by being at 85% of physical capacity at the opener, and methodically ramping up.

You can´t play this group this way. Their match against Australia is the last of three.

Does Germany have someone to play destructor in Khedira´s absence?

Group D: Uruguay, Italy
Group E: France, Ecuador
Group F: Argentina, Nigeria
Group G: Germany, USA
Group H: Belgium, Russia

Round of 16:
Brazil vs Netherlands: Brazil
Chile vs Croatia: Chile
Columbia vs Italy: Columbia
Uruguay vs Japan: Uruguay
France vs Nigeria: France
Argentina vs Ecuador: Argentina
Germany vs Russia: Germany
USA vs Belgium: Belgium

Quarterfinals:
Brazil vs Chile: Brazil

Semifinals:
Brazil vs Uruguay: Brazil

I've said recently that I didn't see Brazil winning it, but with the draw set up as it is, I have a very hard time seeing how they don't make it to the final.

More than likely Gündogan and Schweinsteiger will play holding roles. They will lose the physical edge, but gain more in the long run. There aren't many physical teams out that would expose his loss anyway. Italy would, of course, be the exception.

I doubt they'll play Gündogan and Schweinsteiger together. More likely one or the other plus Kroos or Lars Bender.

I just feel like Löw has had a tendency to play the offensive style. Kroos could obviously play in place of Khedira, I just think Gündogan is better defensively. Lars on the other hand....I just think Germany aren't very good when he starts.

Schweinsteiger and Gündogan are too similar to each other. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Kroos.

With the way Kroos has been playing it would be hard to argue.

A midfield trio of Özil, Schweinsteiger, and Kroos is fricking ridiculous.

Our most likely road en route to winning the World Cup:

Ghana
Portugal
Germany
Belgium
Argentina
Spain
Germany/Brazil

Real prediction:

2-0 World Cup final victory over Mexico in Coulmubs as all the stadiums in Brazil collapse, so it needs to be relocated to our home turf.

Damn and we have 2 guys thinking that Spain wont make it out of group B. Would be crazy for sure. Could Chile really pull that off?
