I don't understand why Josh Henson's name hasn't come up.

No clue. The only thing I have taken from the info I have received is UF is definitely moving to the spread.

Henson would do that, plus he is an excellent recruiter.

Most of the time with UF coaching hires, they are blind sides. They like to put smoke screens out, and then the final call is a guy nobody really talked about in the media.

Therefore, Hensen could be an option, and just isn't being talked about.

He can't win every year there. It's Wyoming with <600K population.

His offenses there were dynamic for the most part, though.

Would you make that move if you were Josh Henson? I know it's Florida, but he's jumping onto a sinking ship.

Probably not, my point was that I don't understand why his name hasn't surfaced by UF insiders as a possible candidate.

after all the sh*t muschamp talked this year about spread offenses, it would be pretty hypocritical to go out and hire Anderson from UNC.

Understood and agreed. I was genuinely curious as to everybody's opinion on whether they would make the move. It's not an easy decision one way or the other.

Norvell from ASU would be a good get, and fit Florida's old mentality of speed football.

However, he doesn't fit the mold of big, dumb Will Muschamp football.

i said in the other thread, Florida is not getting a top, young OC

their coach is dead man walking, no one wants be hired, then looking for work the next season.

henson became MU OC, because no one wanted to take the gig under a dead, man walking, type of situation. MU, had a booster go after Jeff Tedford, and he said hell no, not in that situation. Ynless your offering that OC, the head coaching job, if things go sour, and that would be super fricked up.

You have to hope for an above average, former OC, who's looking for work, or hire a former Qb,OL coach.

Now, If coaching staff fails next year and muschamp is gone, you will get a top coach and top oc, but ya have to wait for it, or hope one of those guys can rekindle some of their old magic.

Will has indicated that he'll return UF to the spread after 3 years of 1.1 yards and a cloud of love bugs.

Did you not notice that all the guys listed were spread guys?

Why would anyone want to uproot and go to a one year job? If that guy doesnt improve that offense substantiallyin year one , they all gonna be out of a job.

which is why a dave christensen, mark mangino type of hire makes sense

either it works, or it stops part of the bleeding till they clean house and start fresh!

The only "young up and comers" on the list are Norvell and Anderson.

The others are either out of a job or will more than likely be out of a job.
