Any of you XBoners have Directv too? Does XBone work with Directv? Can you record shows via voice commands?

I don't think you can go that far with it yet.
My Motorola cable box can do Pause, Fast Forward, Rewind. Can't record though.
So you still need your remote for some functions depending on what you are doing.

No can't record or access recordings, but I can pause, play, fast forward & re-wind.

What about searching programming, volume and changing channels?

Search programming is easy, just follow their guide for setting up your receiver & TV. Volume and changing channels are the same way very easy too.
Also if you have smartglass you can do all that stuff on there plus turning your volume on the TV up & down.
FWIW I find it easier to say the exact channel you want to watch but if you are using the Xbox OneGuide it's a little easier to navigate using the controller or smartglass

I want the ability to clap to turn it on and off...

Clap technology is probably a few more years away.

Can't get the XBone to work with my Directv HR34700 box. It controls my TV volume just fine and I can watch TV but I can't change channels. Also the picture quality looks noticeably worse. Anyone else having these issues?
