The game sucked and that's an understatement. We aren't that bad as a team. We still have 4 games left. We still control our destiny. We still have the division right there in front of us. Home-field is huge but let me remind all of you of 1 game. Remember in 2011 when the Giants came into OUR house and lost 49-24? That was an arse kicking. NOBODY thought the Giants would make the playoffs much less win the damn SB. We all know how that wound up and they went on the road and won too. Pick y'all heads up boys; lot of football left.

I don't think the Saints will give up like some fans do.

Hell no, its one game against the best D in the league. It happens sometimes. How many times have we embarrassed teams? A shite load.

Team needs to forget asap because Carolina game is massive.

Actually, I love the situation we're in. It's a 4 game stretch. Nobody is giving us or any other NFC team a chance in NJ hell to win against them come playoff time. We WILL win 3 out of our next 4. I see us splitting with Carolina; they will not sweep us. We WILL get a 1st round bye and we WILL see those guys again for a SB berth. Payback will be sweet

...that this game was for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

...that this game exposed major weaknesses in our offense

...I could go on but I'm trying to shake it off. Simply put, this was not one of your "just a game" situations. This was for the path to the Superbowl. To lay an egg like that in a game of this magnitude was inexcusable. We looked like we didn't belong. To me, I just can't sugarcoat this. Sorry.

I agree. The biggest problem with our offense is we dont do well when we play the best defense in the league, with the best ppg, passing yards, and front 7 in the league at the second hardest venue in the NFL in the sleet and rain on the opposite side of the country.

Damn i hope we dont play too many more of those.

Last nights loss has not impacted me one bit. From the Saints shitting the bed to that disgraceful referee crew, I knew it would be impossible to win that game. We will curb stomp the Panthers Sunday, win out at home, and handle the Rams to win the division and bye.

You could...possibly in the NFC Championship...That's a big "POSSIBLY". Carolina will have something to say about that. Their defense isn't too shabby either.

Did this need to really be said for a team that's 9-3?

Sometimes you get punched in the mouth. That happened last night. Hopefully they learn something from it.

At any rate, losing sucks but it's time to move on and get over it. I'm sure the team is already focused on Carolina.

Not sugarcoating a damn thing. Are you also implying that you thought the Saints would win the SB in 2011? Because after all those records were broken and this and that....we still dropped a game to SF. All I'm saying is we still control our destiny. That wasn't a playoff game, there's still 4 games left. It's any given Sunday/Monday/Thursday..whatever. Do you think TB has a better offense than the Saints? You know, since TB put up 21 on Seattle.

I was fuming at halftime. Offense was stagnant, gameplan was retarded, drives stalling, horrible drive killing penalties and drops, safeties getting torched, Screaming at the TV, slamming doors, etc...

Then the second half started. Hoculi called a penalty on almost every single play for the first 2 drives on the Saints. I started laughing out loud. It was ridiculous. I havent been upset since then.

I try to avoid Saints Talk after losses just to avoid chicken shite hemmming and hawwing just like this. We lost to a damn good team, in a hard stadium, with piss poor weather.

I think Seattle woke up the beast. I think the Saints are going to fricking pissed. I think Carolina is in for a dick ripping. We win the division and we go into the playoffs hot.

If I'm wrong, I'll eat crow

Best medicine is to hand Carolina an arse kicking and have the media turn their attn to Cammy Cam and if Carolina can handle a loss late in the season in the middle of a tight playoff race.

I can't say...Personally I think we were just overwhelmed. Receiving the kickoff didn't help either. IF We Kickoff, make a good 3 and out on the first play, we quiet that crowd a little bit.

But receiving, going 3 and out. Then next posession we throw a pick 6, it's hard to get a rhythm after that.

This may sound dumb, but I think Seattle had more to prove last night then we did, and they wanted that game.

Not praising Alabama, but look at that 2011 season. LSU beats them at home in front of one of the largest TV audiences for a college game.

You think they remembered how it felt to lose that game? They paid it back in spades to LSU the next time they saw them. It can take a big loss, to turn guys around

Hey, it hurt typing it as an LSU fan. But it sets the point that, teams feed off losses like that.

Getting beat that bad does not instantly make Sean Payton a shitty coach. It doesn't make Drew Brees a bust, and it certainly doesn't negate all the things we have done since 2006.

100% agree
