Jamal Adams - Ranked higher than Hootie. That sounds great, but...

24/7 only gives LSU a 10% chance. Why has everybody been talking about his guy like he's coming here? Is it just wishful thinking because he unofficially visited here?

LSU basically decided not to play the safety position anymore.

LSU made a late push. Recruiting sites haven't caught up to it yet.

Those percentages mean nothing because things have changed since those votes were cast.

Please don't post if you don't follow recruiting. Jamal was thought to be a gator lock but they're decline has led him to look around and apparently he really likes LSU. As far as the "chance" goes, your not reading into that correctly. They don't update each teams chances at a player each day. Those are predictions by their writers. Some of those are months old.

Well, it wasn't that long ago they were predicting us to get Hootie...

I don't really care what the recruiting sites predict

Just because I haven't made 10,000 posts doesn't mean I don't follow recruiting. I'm here, aren't I? Coming from a data processing background, I don't expect "real time" updates on recruiting sites, but I figured there would be some LSU references on Jamal's 24/7 profile due to the last couple of weeks' activity. What the frick are those 24/7 people doing? I hope you're not stupid enough to pay for it.

You don't get to dictate or even ask this. He is asking a legitimate question, one that I also would like to know the answer to. Thanks for explaining though.

I think the consensus is that LSU has made up a lot of ground. He may even be an LSU lean, now.

Florida is in meltdown mode
Mack's job at texas is in jeopardy
Ole Miss is still ole miss

He visited this weekend with Paris and had a great time. I see no reason why we shouldn't be optimistic about beating out those teams. It'll be tough with Ole Miss though

I agree - if he ends up picking Texas or Florida - I'll be stunned - he might go to Ole Miss, and they might be the leader right now, but I'm feeling better and better about it - compared to where we were in September.

We need safeties like it is nobody's business.

We are still going to sign several very high quality defensive backs, all of which can play safety and some cb as well. We will be fine. Still dbu

FWIW: MY friend said Jamal Adams was at his tailgate Friday repping LSU gear pretty hard. He's pretty close to his family and their heavily leaning towards LSU. Hes scared of where Texas & Florida are headed....
