First, my playoffs are weeks 16 and 17 (going to lobby to change that next year, I think). Second, I will likely clinch the playoffs tonight, so I'm more concerned with building for the playoffs. There were some interesting drops this past week that are intriguing me. Standard Scoring, 10 team league. I currently own James Jones and Crabtree and I'm wondering if it's worth dropping one for Roddy White. Who would you rather own:

Player / Week 16 opponent / Week 17 opponent
Roddy / @SF / vs. Car
James Jones / vs. Pit / @ Chi
Crabtree / vs. Atl / @Ari

Other WW choices:
Colston / @Car / vs. TB
Cobb / vs. Pit / @Chi
Andre Holmes / @SD / vs. Den
Burleson / vs. NYG / @Min
Rishard Matthews / @Buf / vs. NYJ

1 QB / 2 RB / 3 WR / 1 TE / 1 FLEX

Current Roster
QB: Brees
RB: McCoy, Moreno, Murray, Brown, L Bell
WR: Gordon, VJax, Allen, Floyd, James Jones, Crabtree
TE: Gronk, J Graham

If I absolutely had to pick one up, it would probably be Cobb if Rodgers comes back, or Roddy since JJ is out

If Cobb & Rodgers get healthy then Cobb. But I think the earliest Cobb can come back is week 16 and I don't even know the latest on Rodgers.

If not then I'd keep Crabtree. White is intriguing as he seemed to get on track this week and I'm still holding on to him simply because I've had him all year, but I think his matchups are pretty rough for your playoffs. Not like that Crabtree vs. Ariz matchup is a good one, but it's not 2 rough matchups. Colston is just hit/miss.

To me it is Roddy or Crabtree. Roddy showed yesterday that he is back to full strength, and that should be a huge boost going forward. Crabtree stands the most to gain. Niners are still surging, hoping for a better seed with some help from the Saints. His first game back yesterday and he saw the field a decent amount. Will only get better down the stretch.

If Green Bay loses again, or anyone else wins another, don't expect to see Cobb return to the field, no point to rush him back if they are out of the playoffs.

Colston is fine, but he has the lowest upside on a consistent basis as the others, probably a higher floor though.

I'm not sure Cobb will see the field again this year. They are talking about shutting down Rodgers and just waiting on next year for him. If that happens, why would they rush back Cobb.

As everyone else said, Colston is just too hit or miss this year to count on.

So this really comes down to Roddy vs. Crabtree. I already have Crabtree, thinking that IF he was able to return to full strength in the next few weeks, he could be a beast like he was last year. But Roddy finally had his first good game of the year. It's a tough call, IMO.

And see, I'm keeping White for the exact reason. Crabtree is available for some reason in my league, but I'd have to drop White to pick him up. After holding on to him this long, there's no way I'm letting R. White come back and beat me in the playoffs. He already cost me 2 of my first 3 games which has me fighting to get into the playoffs.

We are going into week 13 and there has been absolutely nothing said about Cobb. He can return week 15, but they have not said a timetable yet on when they plan on having him back. I would not bank on him playing again this year, especially if Rodgers sits out more and they aren't in contention.

Colston has been pretty inconsistent.
Crabtree might be worth keeping but if i had to choose, i'd take Roddy
If all are healthy, Roddy is the best reciever, especially without Julio.

Would anyone drop James Jones for Roddy? Considering that Rodgers may not come back this season, would it be better to stash both Crabtree and Roddy leaving me with only Gordon, Allen, Floyd, and Jackson as my reliable starters?

Ya know. . .the more I think about it, the more I say pick up White. To hell with his matchups. He put up 20 points in my league yesterday. That's what we've all been waiting for all year. Pick him up just so nobody else can.

I knocked this around.

Is it a 3 WR start league or a 2 WR and flex start? If it's the latter, do you have the RBs to fill the void at flex if you have 2 of those WRs with injuries?

1 QB / 2 RB / 3 WR / 1 TE / 1 FLEX

QB: Brees
RB: McCoy, Moreno, Murray, Brown, L Bell
WR: Gordon, VJax, Allen, Floyd, James Jones, Crabtree
TE: Gronk, J Graham

I can definitely fill both RB spots and between my RBs and TEs, I can easily fill my Flex. Really only concerned about finding the best WRs to carry my through the playoffs.

Note: the only players I drafted were McCoy, VJax, James Jones, and Jimmy Graham. Everyone else was either Waiver Wire or Trades.

Yeah, I think I'd drop J. Jones. He's consistent, but unless A-Rod comes back, he's not putting up monster numbers. It's doubtful Crabtree will, but he may in that game against the Falcons. And Roddy may even with his matchups.

I'm currently 4th in the Waiver order and I've been holding onto that spot in case someone makes a desperation drop. I'm thinking picking up Roddy (and dropping Jones) is not worth a waiver claim, but rather wait to see if he slips to free agency. Good idea? Use a waiver claim? Or pass altogether?
