Someone Dropped Aaron Rodgers. I Picked Him Up.

It's not really clear to me why someone in our league who will not be making the playoffs would drop Aaron Rodgers. He dropped him last week, after Rodgers had been out a few weeks with injury. He was on waivers for a full day (also does not compute) before I picked him up.
Would it be wrong for me to use Rodgers in the playoffs? There is no collusion between me and the guy who dropped him. I don't even know the guy.
All I know is, if I were another guy in the league and I lost a playoff game because someone picked up A-Rod off waivers in the last week of the fantasy regular season, I'd be pissed.
Thoughts?

Definitely worth a pickup, wouldn't be wrong
But there are reports he may miss the rest of the season

Not wrong at all, but he's dumb. Should have waited till next week's Packers game. If they win (don't know if Rodgers is playing) then Rodgers should start the next game. If they lose I believe they are out of the playoffs and won't risk re injuring Rodgers.

Someone dropped Alex Smith to start Tebow this week. Apparently I have to wait until Wednesday to pick him up.
