I'm really considering sitting Manning today in favor of McCown at Minnesota. First week of our playoffs, and even though Vikings/Bears has been a low-scoring affair over the past few years at Minnesota, I'm really concerned about Manning today coming off of a loss against Brady.

Any thoughts?

Are you being serious? If so, you need help.

Well, Minnesota has given up the second most points to QBs this season. McCown is projected to score more than 25 points.

If I had Peyton Manning I wouldn't even carry a second QB after his bye week. I'm starting McCown because my other QB options are dogshit, but I'd never start him over Manning

Thank you for the insight. The UK behind your name removes you from serious conversations about football though.

Last week starting Manning over McCown cost me a victory. That was fine for the last game of the regular season, but it bumped me from 1st place to 7th place in the league. If this was a six-team playoff instead of an eight-team playoff, I would have been screwed. So, yeah, maybe I'm over-thinking this a little, but last week has given me cause to do so.

I wouldn't think less of you for sitting manning. its a tough decision, but I had manning last year and he played like crap the last couple of wks including my first playoff game ( which I lost). Also, manning doesn't play well in cold.....FACT

Dude you never sit your studs. If Mccown out scores Manning than oh well, don't ever sit Manning ever. And don't listen to projections

Thanks, Goose. It's going to be sunny and in the high 40s to mid 50s, so I don't think weather is much of a concern. I'm more worried about a hangover effect after playing Brady and his lack of mobility. In games after facing Brady, Peyton has thrown 19 TDs and 16 INTs.

I'm starting Alex Smith over Nick Foles, is that dumb?

Has smith produced decent numbers??? I really haven't been keeping up with him. I would think foles would get more points, but just my opinion

Foles is facing a tougher secondary IMO. Arizona completely shut down Andrew Luck last week.

I think Foles is the better start today. Smith is too reliant on the short pass and Charles running the ball.

Another stat of concern for me: Manning is 10-19 in December road games.

You're thinking about sitting by the far the #1 QB in FF. That removes you from even playing fantasy football.

bleacher report just said that peyton may be ranked #1, but that mccown will play better. they did say that they were not saying to bench peyton (well, not in so many words), but it sounds like they like josh over peyton this week. take it for what its worth.

Bump

The Sheriff just dropped 400 yards and 5 TDs on the Chiefs. The OP and bleacherreport both suck
