JJ must get this guy motivated to play more aggressive. He's supposed to be a star and he can't even get off his own shot.He makes no plays off the dribble, 31 mins 5 shots 4 Rebs . I think we need to post him up more ,he doesn't move without the ball well enough to play the 3 the entire game. I think if we are to go anywhere in post season ,adjustments need to be made to get him more shots. Hopefully he figures it out soon.

He's been back at practice for a week. Don't rush to judgement.

Stop riding the dude's arse. He's like 4 games into his career.

For real. Not every freshman can come in and light it up like Parker or Wiggins. Its going to take some time but Martin will be a top player in the nation when he gets it rolling.

I'm not riding he guy. He was a top 20 player coming out. His skill set is not being implemented into the O We continue to have trouble getting good looks down the stretch with clock running down. He needs to be more involved if he's going to play 31 mins.

He is relatively new to basketball in general, was hurt 10 seconds into his college career and has played 4 games EVER. Ease up

You obviously missed him hitting those threes yesterday. He looked great yesterday. Did you miss that game?

It seems like JJ is running him outside the box but I think we need to run more post up plays he looks as big as JOB 3 I didn't understand it myself the whole offense just stood and watched JOB 3 post up no curls until Coleman came in he needs to draw up plays for the star of the team

Yep you are right. He needs to be in the offense on the inside not on the wing. Also that big Aussie needs more olaying time. After watching this team a couple of times and reading some of these threads seems like we are much improved but still only a bubble team in reality but JJ is doing a great job

Nope saw the game ,just think he needs to be more than a spot up low percentage three point shooter. Wish he were more involved flashing in the lane ,coming off screens and taking the ball to the basket off the dribble. Def not a one and done guy which is a good thing.

Martin, Mickey, & Quarterman will all be back for a second year. They've got plenty of OG games left in purple and gold.

True.
And you have to remember he's now playing the 3, which he's never done before. He definitely looks somewhat uncomfortable at that position. He needs to learn to run off the ball more. It was difficult for our guards to find him.
Shavon is great at this and could probably teach Martin a few things.
I'm sure he'll adapt, but it takes time. IMO he'll be a big asset at that position because of his size - Shavon is a little small against some teams. He'll also be versatile because he can move to the post and be a big body there too.

Have a bit of patience.
