He is destroying Purdue. He should/will be the #1 pick.

Problem with Okie State, if he has a bad game, they will go down. (See Durante with Texas).

People ragged on his decision to return but that will be the best decision in the long run. He looks much more confident shooting the ball

The frick he won't. Dude is throwing dimes, putting up shots beyond the 3 arch, blocking shots, rebounding. Smart is the real deal. ( this coming from a Julius Randle homer).

he's still too inconsistent as a shooter.

Combined 8-21 (38%) vs Grand Valley State and ARK Pine Bluff

5 turnovers in 28 mins vs ARK Pine bluff

id be almost anything he doesnt go 1

You don't need a star PG to win an NBA championship. The other guys are more valuable.

We have 3 other players who will get drafted this year and a string bench. I think we can afford for him to have a poor game and win.

Historically, Smart hasn't been much of a scorer. His offense is really a bonus this year.

Good analysis though.....

I will never understand how LeBryan Nash was such a bust for Oklahoma St. He will be drafted, but he was the most impressive high school player I ever watched. Several players I thought he was better than have been much more successful in college.

Have you seen what Parker is doing? Smart's great but this is a bad year to come out. He'd be lucky to go to 3

Any team that finishes with a top 5 pick at least will be getting a franchise player

Wiggins
Randle
Parker
Exum
Smart

It really depends on what the team drafting 1st needs. I could see him going 1st if that team needs a guard

Lets say New Orleans hits a rough patch and doesn't make the playoffs due to poor guard play. Lets say they get the #1 pick overall. They already have Davis so they sure aren't going to draft a big man

If there was a big man worth drafting #1 they sure as hell would. Have you not seen the shite they're throwing out at C this year?
