Even though the pads are not present he still looks like a stud.

I wouldn't mind taking both Adams and Hootie tho...I know that's being greedy but both are really good.

He is very talented player and worthy of his lofty ranking. Jamal, you'd look great in P & G.

Unfortunately, one of those recruits was Malachi Durpre.

ETA: Nevermind, just a Dupre look-a-like

was the most physical that I saw from the Dallas NFTC and made a great play on Malachi (who looked fricking awesome at that camp as well).

What's up with all the anchors? Didn't see that much negative being thrown around with most of them. In fact, much less than you'd expect to see.

I posted this in the other thread where someone linked this video.

Just watched it again next to someone VERY familiar with top flight athletes and we both said the same thing when watching him.

Tight low backpedal
Great punch at the line
Fluid hips
Competing attitude (him)

Jamal can bring that swag we need back from multiple players on D. RR is bringing it now. Whether it be him or Hootie or Paris or anyone else I want to see a recruit that brings that physical style of play back. It was very refreshing to watch RR mix it up against Evans in the a&m game. I'd be thrilled to have any and all of those guys.

is he a ball hawk type or yet another safety/OLB hybrid?

he's a ball hawking safety who hits like a linebacker...

in all honesty though, if they both started from scratch and people watched both his and hootie's film (including camp footage) and had no idea where they were from, my money would be on this kid being the fan favorite with hootie as plan b by a pretty decent margin.

No. You haven't even seen Hootie's film. He is LaRon Landry with better cover skills.

I'm glad Jamal has genuine interest and I'd love to have him but if I could only have 1, I'd choose the home breed Hootie.

People put out Jamal's name and the whole Recruiting board is ready to make the trip signing off the best Safety (wait till you see his senior year, kids destroying it) to Alabama.

Hootie is an amazing player in OUR state and we would be loosing him to Alabama vs Jamal to Ole miss if we miss out on him as well. Who would you rather loss?

Hopefully we get both

I like the film that I've seen on this kid a ton, but I don't follow recruiting as closely as many on this board do.

Do we have a legit shot at him?
