throwing a game to help friend get in playoffs?

Here's the situation:
Team A and Team B are friends and play each other this week.
Team A has clinched a playoff spot and Team B needs to win to get in.
Team A is planning on throwing the game to help Team B clinch a spot.
What says the FSB? What should ramifications be? Is there a legit gripe?
FWIW: I am neither A or B

They are not real friends then. A real friend would go out of his way to try and beat his friend. It's all the more sweeter when you knock you're bro out of the playoffs so you can talk shite to him for the next 365 days.

Would it help team A in any way? Say team A has clinched the #1 spot and he'd have an easier matchup against team B as the #4 seed in the first round, may be fricked up but you can't get mad at a manager helping himself. If he's just doing it because he wants his friend in the playoffs and it has no benefit to him, then that's bullshite.

Agree with this. If Team B getting into the playoffs knocks out a stronger team which benefits Team A then I don't have a problem with it.

Have a similar situation in my league. Two brothers play this week. One was just eliminated from the playoffs and the other needs a win to have a chance at the last two playoff spots. The eliminated one is looking to sit his entire team. I have a first round bye locked so now i will be sitting my entire team to let the guy i'm playing lock up one of the spots..such bullshite
