We are Top 25 in the country in Total Defense

This defense is obviously not like a typically good Chavis D, but considering our personnel losses from last year, the Chief still can put together a MUCH better than average defense compared to the rest of CFB.

The funniest part? We are #25 in total offense in the country.

So our defense is better at holding opponents back compared to the rest of the country than our offense is moving the football compared to the rest of the country.

Chavis has done well with this defense. I don't think he teaches particularly difficult schemes. Our defenders are coached well (yes, even the secondary), and they make plays.
