With Prince Fielder coming to Texas, does that put the Rangers in the Cano mix?

That's a fun dream.

I doubt the Rangers are gonna commit $130+ to Prince. Then another $150 plus to Cano. Then deal the top young player in their system to fill their hole in LF.

Don't the Rangers have a stud 2nd baseman prospect?

He's a SS, but a 2B for the Ranges because of Andrus.

Schoenfield says deal him to the Cardinals for Oscar Tavares.

It is. I personally don't want to financial commitment. But wouldn't complain if this actually happened.

I've been on that train for a year. It's a deal that makes sense for both franchises, though not as much for the Rangers if it opens up a hole at 2B.

They also have a 2nd baseman rated as the best prospect in their organization named Rougned Odor. He is supposed to be quite good, but still at least a year away. The Rangers are pretty set in the infield for awhile.

I just do not see Daniels giving a $200million++ contract to Cano. But, he is also one of the sneakiest GMs in baseball so maybe he has something crazy planned.

I could see this all happening but I don't see the Cardinals giving up Taveras, even though I still think Profar is the better prospect.

If we got Cano, they would have to redo that stuff at home plate to get that right field jet stream going again
