Does anyone subscribe to cable for half the year?

If I were to disconnect my cable for all months outside of football season, would the cable company allow me to continue this trend of connecting and disconnecting?

Yes, but they generally require you to pay a fee to get it connected each time

I usually do. Except for when they are all "Wait, Wait Mr. Fenderman. We will offer you movie channels and our fastest internet bundle for half of what you were paying as long as you continue service with us."

I've been doing it for a few years now. I'm with Suddenlink, no fee to disconnect/reconnect
