would someone please teach these idiots about football? Also, it wasn't the only horribly blown call in the game... LINK

Memo to Auburn fans: I understand that you're coming off a miracle win and having a great season but facts are still facts...you're 1 - 6 against LSU since that game. You might want to consider talking trash to someone that you actually beat occasionally.

My right knee's a little tweaked...but I'm fine otherwise.

I just enjoy the ignorance of others. Deal with it.

The difference is in 2006 in was a catchable ball (to Doucet in the end zone). End of story. And if someone sounds hurt, it is the Auburn douche that brought it up. I haven't seen any LSU people bring 2006 up.

So, the NFL refs screwing up the call somehow justifies the SEC refs screwing up the call?

Both were bad calls.

If contact is made on the receiver before the ball is deflected or intercepted, the proper call is pass interference, plain and simple. LSU was called for exactly the same thing earlier in the 2006 game, overturning an interception. Somehow, Aubies can't seem to remember that.

The correct call was defensive holding, not pass interference. The intentional holding occurred before the ball was tipped.

The other bad call in that game was an intentional p.i. in the endzone in the first half. The corner held the arms and even tried to kick the receiver, and the ball hit the receiver in the chest. No call.

That game was unbelievable.

I would have accepted defensive holding, since that also is an automatic first down.

The point is that if contact happens before a tip, it's a penalty.

It was Brandon Lafell, I believe.

The Auburn defender pinned his arms to his side and held him in a bear hug. The perfectly thrown ball from Russell then hit him in the chest with his arms pinned to his side so that he could not move. The ball bounced off his chest onto the ground.

No call.

I was in the end zone right behind him and saw it with my own two eyes.

That entire game was an abomination.

It was golden child David Irons that was mugging Lafell.
