Indoor Pest Treatment

Cold weather has a few creepy crawlers sneaking inside.
It looks like permethrin will kill everything I need it to. Is this something I can spray along baseboards and window sills indoors and along exterior walls and not have to worry about toxicity?
There's no pets inside and there wouldn't be much interaction with it in the corners and along walls, but I want something to form a barrier that will last 6 months - 1 year.
If I get an exterminator to come out, do I have to specify what bugs have been spotted or will they do a treatment for everything?

Suspend SC, buy from Amazon. Kills for 6 months including spiders. Store it in a air conditioned place. Safe once dry for kids and animals...

You really only need to spray around the doors and baseboards near the door and perhaps in the kitchen. No need to spray the entire house...

Also sprat the eves and porches, kills the spiders and therefore keeps the spider webs way down and the exterior of the home much cleaner.

Malathion is all I use and I have very few bugs around my house. The occasional ants when it starts wearing off during the drought are the only problem.
