Is J. Hill leaving this year for the NFL?

If he came back for another year his salary would be about $12 or 13 Million more if drafted in the first round. $2Million if drafted in the second round, is it not smart to play another year?
And yes I know about the injury factor. Enjoy your Sunday

He would be stupid to come back. Even with another year. He will NOT improve his draft stock. He will be a third -rounder.

No I am NOT. The NFL has changed. Its an ALL pass league. Now Hill should be a late 1st or early second round pick, BUT He has not been used right by Miles. FACT.

I'm not saying he would be "stupid" to come back if playing another year of college ball made him happy, but you're right, I doubt he would improve his draft stock by coming back. LSU fans need to realize that gone are the days of staying 4 years in college unless you are a 1st round pick lock as an underclassmen. For most of these guys (not just at LSU) the guarantee of just being drafted (regardless of round) is reason enough for them to leave college early

Ido not agree with doc about being out of your mind as that is your opinion, but I think he would be a first rounder.
Yes the NFL has changer but you still need a very good running back.
Just seems like a lot of difference in money

Injures are not the only crap shut on a Miles coached team. What if Kenny H gets arrested in the off season and Miles switches rolls with KH and JH and he only gets 2 touches a game next year? :rotflmao:

Really??? Did you see the Ole Misss game??? He fumbled and Miles took him out. IMO he hasn't been the same since. Maybe he is pouting??? Not Sure. But IF he carries the ball another 10 times against Ole Miss. WE WIN. Plus he took ALOT of falldowns against Bama. He was NOT HUNGRY against them.He needs to carry the ball at least 25 times against A & M for LSU to have a chance. But Miles will NOT doo that.

How many RBs have been taken in each of the first round in the last few drafts? One? Two? That means for Hill to be drafted in the first round, he'd likely have to be rated as the top RB in the draft. He's a good player, but I just don't think he's going to be rated that high. A Round 2-3 projection is not unreasonable

No one is taking a RB high in the new NFL. You can thank Bama and their overrated RBs for that. Just not worth it. Hill's stock is as high as it can get right now.

So is this a weekly thread until the end of next season?
Before he declares: Will he go?
After he declares: Good decision?
Next season: What could have been?

Tell me what his salary will be after his first year. In the sec when u are afraid to hit the hole or try to make a hole and then bounce everything to the outside for 3 yard losses, in the nfl those runs turn into 7 yard losses

quote:He doesn't get enough snaps. By far the best RB on the team and he has to split playing time. A RB can't get into a rhythm like that. He needs to be the featured back and get 20-25 snaps a game. This is yet another player personnel mistake that Milesdumbeaux has perpetuated on the Offense. I'm sure Cam Cameron is by now.

it really has nothing to do with injury. More with staying out of trouble. Prob best if he just leaves.
