jeez............

yes, it was nice that he can hit a 3 but if you watched the game, which I am assuming you did not, he is very green on D and needs some development. If you did watch the game then, you didnt do a good job of watching him without the ball

great job on making an assumption based on 4 minutes of play.

I think Ill trust the coach who has spends half of every day with him

having been a total dick for no reason, I must agree that his 3 point shot was sweet

It wasn't just the shot, but he played well for the minutes. He was a factor in multiple plays.

They probably want to see more than 0 rebounds from a big man before letting him take minutes from anyone else at this point.

I watched him on rebounds. He wasn't even jumping and making an effort to go get the ball.

Before hearing about his injury, I thought Jones sat him against UMass because of his laziness in the exhibition game.

Dude doesn't really hustle or go for rebounds at all. Forget his three if he won't try elsewhere.

What I expected from Darcy is what I saw last night. A guy who clearly isnt up to speed with basketball over here right now and the athletes we have. Its nice to have a 7 footer who can step back and hit a 3, but it's a much nicer when you have a 7 footer who can actually play like a 7 footer. He'll learn over time but I dont see him getting much more than quick minutes for now.

Who do you want to take minutes away from? JOB? Mickey? Odo who went in, and although raw is active and a complete force on the glass

This goes in to what I was saying. Odu and Darcy are complete opposites when it comes to hustle and board activity - so far. I don't mean to pile on - and we're only two regular season games in (one of which Darcy didn't even play) - but it seems like he's lacking in the whole being active part. Once he ups his effort out there is when we will see what he is capable of.

I thought he played well enough in the Northwestern game to deserve some playing time in the second half. It wasn't just the 3 pointer, he also made a very nice up and under move at the basket and made it look easy.

I'm sure he will get some playing time as the season goes on if the situation calls for it. We have so many good players now that there really aren't enough minutes for all of them. I have really been surprised at what I have seen of Hammink also. He is much improved and I thought did a nice job when he got in there.
